Mohammad Reza Mohammadi

Reza Mohammadi is a self-taught and self-made painter, designer, and sculptor. He holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Urmia, Iran. In addition to his visual art career, he is also a director and producer of animated films.

With over three decades of artistic experience, Mohammadi is regarded as one of the prominent figures in the visual arts scene of Kurdistan Province and western Iran. He has held more than 35 solo and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad, including cities such as Baneh, Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Tehran, Mashhad, Saqqez, as well as Sulaymaniyah and Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

From the very beginning of my artistic journey, painting nature has been the source of my inspiration and exploration. Inspired by the works and approaches of the world’s greatest Impressionists and Naturalists, I have deeply studied and absorbed the essence of the natural world.Over time, I have chosen a new visual language in the realm of abstraction—one that is freer, more meaningful, and rooted in the sensory, perceptual, and aesthetic values of my cultural, historical, and ethnic heritage.
