Philip Verhoeven

Philip Verhoeven is a Belgian artist and currently lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. He grew up in his
parents' antique shop and started drawing at a young age. At 18, he went to art school in Leuven for 3
years. He attended 2 years of painting and 1 year of sculpture. Philip is a contemporary artist who takes
inspiration from history and translates it into a unique blend of pop art and figurative art. His work, made
with marker and acrylic paint on canvas, is characterised by vibrant colours, powerful compositions and a
playful approach to historical themes. He gets his inspiration from various art movements such as pop art,
figurative art, graffiti and comics. He has exhibited his art internationally, with shows in London, New York,
Miami, Antwerp and France, among others. For several years, he is collaborating with foreign galleries,
sharing his artistic vision worldwide.
