Born 1968 in Kulmbach . Further artistic training through lecturers and art symposia. She has been working as a freelance artist since 2010. She has had her own studio since 2008 and is also intensively involved in art education for children and adults. Lecturer on the topics of rust & ageing and experimental painting since 2014. Since 2017 owner of the KUNSTGALERIE & Atelier in Oberhacken 3, Kulmbach. Since 2020 lecturer for art in schools. The outstanding feature of Marion Kotyba's art is the theme of rust and ageing as a stylistic device in abstract acrylic painting. The artist works in clearly defined groups of works, primarily non-representational. Marion Kotyba's aim is to offer the viewer of her works sufficient freedom to let their own imagination run wild on an abstract level of representation. The artist takes the freedom to choose color and technique according to her mood.
