Gail Factor has been committed to the painting process for more than four decades. An obvious artistic interest and aptitude emerged early on leading her to attend art courses at the Art Institute of Chicago at the age of five. Factor pursued ongoing academic achievements with the same enthusiasm, culminating in: a BFA from the University of Southern California magna cum laude; an awarded fellowship in Fine Arts from Yale University; and independent studies in art and architecture throughout Europe. Over the past decade Factor has been creating and residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. During which time she completed master courses with Wolf Kahn (born 1927, German-born American) and Wayne Thiebaud (born 1920, American) at the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts. Factor's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the western half of the United States. In addition, her work is included in numerous prominent public and private collections.
