I’m Hasan Abdalla, a Kurdish artist from Al-Hassake, Syria. Growing up, I faced the harsh realities of poverty, and it was through those struggles that I discovered my passion for art. My early years were marked by hardship, but it was also in this environment that I learned to express myself through creativity, finding art as a means to escape and communicate emotions that words couldn’t capture.

I began my journey as an artist in 1997, drawn to Expressionism because of its raw intensity and emotional depth. My work primarily focuses on the suffering of women—particularly the emotional and psychological toll of their relationships with men and the broader themes of social injustice. Through my use of color, form, and symbolism, I aim to shed light on the pain and resilience that often go unnoticed, giving voice to those who endure in silence.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work across Europe and the Middle East, each experience deepening my understanding of the universal struggles we all face. Now, I live in London, continuing to evolve as an artist a...
