Nina Zurier works primarily in photography. Much of her work deals with the continuity of discontinuity within non-linear visual narratives. In photographic work, this takes the form of series of images either printed on the same sheet or installed in overlapping configurations. The photographs may have been shot at the same time and location, or may be related by color and other formal qualities and span a number of years. There is a low-key, banal aspect which is intentional and comes from her lack of interest in the documentary aspect of photography.
