Pontus Wåhlström born (-76) in northern Sweden, now living and painting in Årsta, just outside Stockholm.

Pontus Wåhlström has gone from years of abstract expressionism to some deviations to landscapes and forest scenes, all in the name of constant evolving, and back to the abstract were he feels most at home.
In the abstract he can loose controll and the limits are none existing exept the edge of the canvas itself.
Trying to be as free as possible in his paintings the motivs can be anytning from pure abstraction to the abstraction of an object existing in the world.

"I try to loose as much controll as possible when painting, the biggest challenge in making these is the inate need for perfection, it is a very hard thing to loose when you´re painting."
