I am an empath. Words cannot describe my art — emotions tell a bigger story. I tell my stories through paintings inspired by nature, imagination, and music. Gestural abstraction is my chosen discipline because of the freedom I feel painting loosely, driven entirely by emotion. My intent is to evoke curiosity from every sense — joy, peace, serenity, and on occasion, something darker.

I am a self-taught creative. Creativity has been a way of life for as long as I can remember, expressed through drawing, interior decorating, graphic design, acrylic painting, repurposing furniture, jewelry making, and whatever else I could find to quench my thirst to recreate, reinvent, and revolutionize.

My current focus is watercolor and gouache, working in gestural abstraction with a minimalist approach. I build paintings through a special scraping technique on dry paper, using water, brush, palette knife, and air to move paint across the surface. I love to blend and combine colors, creating my own hues and palette.

I also created a now-complete body of work on wood panels using Unicorn SPiT gel stains applied directly with my bare hands — a rare technique producing luminous, one-of-a-kind results. My work in this medium was featured in The Official Unicorn SPiT User's Handbook (Rocky Nook, 2021). These original pieces are available to collectors.

I have taken continuing education courses in drawing and watercolor and continue to develop my techniques through study and close observation of other artists.
