I was infected by art early in childhood. My teacher of art was able to spend all her money for huge still life. She could bring 4-meters tree in the class only in purpose to hang a rag on it. She gathered all us children of different ages and travelled with us in heat and rain and draw, draw, draw everything and everywhere in wet forests, in dirty gateway, in ancient castle or old homestead. We slept on the floor in old school. We ate our sandwiches on the top of highest hills or trees. She was reading for us during the lessons different authors to teach us think and feel.
So I have not got academical education, but I have got a message, that there is nothing in world but art.
Art is not a job for me. I have big garden where I grow roses, berries and grapes, that’s why my working place is situated under the old big apple-tree. I work slowly, it’s hard for me to draw standing straight because of disease, that’s why I work laying. But it does not matter: when you have something to say – say it.
