Evrim Ilhan

I was born in 1983, into a Mediterranean family, and grew up experiencing nearly every inch of the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts. My childhood was a blend of history and nature—swimming through the sunken city of Kekova, climbing the ancient ruins of Myra, and wandering the stone-paved streets of Ephesus were all just part of my everyday adventures.

I received my first camera at the age of nine, a gift from our German family friends. Back then, I would wait eagerly for the photos to come out of the studio, wondering what the negatives would reveal. But I never once dreamed of becoming a photographer.

When I turned 20, I moved to Bodrum. From the very first day, I said, “I will live here.” And that’s exactly what happened. I fell in love in Bodrum, became a mother in Bodrum, and began my professional journey as a photographer right here.

Alongside photography, I spent many years working in the wedding industry as a creative director, event designer, and entrepreneur. My entrepreneurial spirit led me to create a brand called **Medalla Club**, where I collaborated with Anatolian craftswomen to produce handwoven camera straps for fellow photography lovers.
