Frances Dove

Frances has a spontaneous approach to her collage work where the images are drawn from her own photographs of varied objects, fabrics and all kinds of materials collected from the history of the world of fashion and art. She finds inspiration in vintage fashion and the imperfections and signs of wear and tear embedded in the history of the garment. Frances has a sensitivity to the materials she uses and creates the image through a series of painterly gestures made from her photographs.
