Hi, I'm Frans Dielemans and thank you for visiting Saatchi Art. Here is a short introduction:
I was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on June 14th, 1967. In 2012 I moved to the east of The Netherlands, to a little village called Ruurlo in the province of Gelderland. There I found the atmosphere I was looking, lots of space and surrounded by woods and meadows.
Also in 2012, after being a graphic designer and art director for many years, I decided to fully focus on creating hyperrealistic drawings. Important influences in realistic art are never far away in The Netherlands, with Dutch masters as Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Jheronimus Bosch, Carel Willink and Maurits Cornelis Escher (and not to forget the more recent Dutch master Chris Berens). But there are also German artist Dirk Dzimirsky, American artists Alyssa Monks, Dan Witz, David Jon Kassan, Dutch artist Eric van Straaten, Spanish artist Juan Francisco Casas and many, many others.
I draw my inspiration from people I meet, who tell about their lives, the things that happened to them. Maybe insignificant at first sight, but they turned out to be lifechanging. I try to catch the emotion, the feeling of that moment.
I've studied almost every technique (from watercolours to oilpainting, from ink to colourpencils), nowadays I prefer drawing with graphite pencils on paper and with charcoal on canvas or panel.
