About Goran Turnšek

Goran Turnšek was born in Slovenia in 1978. He studied modern dance at De Theatershool of Amsterdam, graduating with Phillip Morris dance prize in 2000. He danced in dance ballet from Christina de Chatel, Paul Selwyn Nortorn, Bruni Listopad, Salia Ni Sedu and many more. After his dance career in 2013 he studied at the Fotoacademie Amsterdam. he graduated with the project 'Jakob' under the supervision of Nicole Segers and Ellen Sanders. The project has been published in De Volkskrant weekend edition Smaak, prestige photos magazine British Journal of Photography with Interview by Taco Hidde Bakker and Unseen on line platform Photocaptionist. Jakob book has been shortlisted at Unseen Dummy Award 2016 and his photo series has been shortlisted at Selection of Dutch photography SO 2016. Jakob project has been selected for New Photo 2016, Art calenderd 2016 and SO 2016.
