About Noé Badillo

I have been a professional artist since 1994, when I began making black and white images in my hometown of Seattle, Washington.

In 2003, I studied in Rome, where I became fascinated by the Renaissance and Italian culture. I began sketching from all of the great classical works of painting and sculpture, and learned something, as if from memory about ancient Roman methods of creating art.

Upon my return became a studio assistant to the great Argentinian conceptual artist, Osvaldo Romberg. Osvaldo taught me classical painting by master copying, architectural modeling, color theory and conceptual art based on a group he was a part of known as the 'ABC' school.

Since then, my work has transformed greatly over the years and continues to transform as my life changes. Like the work of many artists, most notably Pablo Picasso, I tend to go through periods as my life changes and how I view the world around me is transformed into new modes of expression and new ways of seeing.
