Monica Silva

Born in Porto, Portugal in 1972, Mónica Silva is a Portuguese artist based in Vila do Conde, Portugal. Mónica holds a degree in Tourist Activities Management since 1993 and worked in an Airline Company for 20 years.
She always had a passion for travelling and for Art and painted since early years as a self-taught artist.
In 2011, she had private painting lessons and started painting more often.
After the sudden death of her husband and love of her life, in 2018, she began making art almost as a need of transmuting her pain and emotions.
In 2019, she joined the Practical Course in Painting of the Continuing Education of the University of Fine Arts of Porto and finished it in 2020.
Her work represents her life, her emotions, her pain;
but also hope and the knowledge that a true love never dies.
