Geoffrey Thulin

Working cyclically, I use different styles and techniques that engage my various sensibilities and interests. My abstractions can be loose, powerful and atmospheric or intricately conceived and executed. My landscapes are inviting celebrations of land, sea and sky. My animal portraits are bold and charming. All my works are dynamic explorations of rhythm, pattern and color. Energy is the overarching theme, playing across the surface, while pulsing from within.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts (birthplace of Jack Kerouac and one of my greatest artistic inspirators, James McNeill Whistler), I was raised in New England, Ohio and Pennsylvania. After college, I began my professional career in San Francisco and have continued to flourish artistically since returning to the Gettysburg, PA area. I am also a photographer and a professional picture framer. I live and work in an historic stone farmhouse with my wife in the Adams County village of Cashtown.
