Gevan Wgnr

Born in Tacoma, WA in 1990, Gevan Wgnr graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2012 with a BFA in Graphic Design. While living in Portland, ME and Berlin, Germany for the past 3 years his artistic practice has flourished and has participated in a few local group shows including Free For All (2016) at SPACE Gallery in Portland, ME and HUSH (2017) at MUTH mode in Berlin.


Gevan’s artistic practice aims to explore the confrontations found in queer life as a means to promote the growth and celebration of honest self intimacy. Relying heavily upon the evolution of identity, his works solidify the internal narrative through blunt, albeit openly organic graphic structures to highlight the dependency on society to shape the self. Gevan’s ambition is to provide a tangibility to the tone of sexual growth and exploration in modern times.
