Garret McFann received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, CA in 1984. In 1988 he received a Masters degree in sculpture from California State University at Stanislaus. From 1988-2000 he was employed at the Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture which is a bronze art foundry as well as teaching facility.
At the Atelier he was responsible for the bronze casting needs of many of the leading contemporary artists of the time. His duties also included instruction in the art of bronze casting as well as figurative clay modeling.
Before moving to Bloomington, Illinois, in September of 2012, he worked as a subcontractor for several art foundries in the Los Angeles area and was an adjunct professor at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California, teaching both figurative clay modeling and bronze art casting courses.
Garret is a member of the prestigious National Sculpture Society as well as the California Arts Club and has been represented in galleries in both Scottsdale Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
