Gregory Dubus is a French artist living in the Netherlands whose artworks are displaying originality, uniqueness, remarkable aesthetic and higher technical and creative standard.
His structural compositions are a praise to geometric Abstraction and most particularly to the triangle shape inviting the viewer to experience a reflective and emotional peacefulness mindset.
His art is colorful and exigent because it requires lot of patience, rigor and precision. It also represents his personality which contains a duality of concepts that he is trying to make coexisting in harmony: Feelings vs Thinking; Simplicity vs complexity; Monotony vs diversity; Facility vs difficulty; Planning vs spontaneity; Visible vs invisible; Conscious vs unconscious; Effort vs ease……
His art has been influenced the abstract art movement called ‘Suprematism’, by the colouring he loved doing during his childhood and by a few abstract artists like August Herbin (forms and colours), Piet Mondrian (lines and structures) and Victor Vasarely (organisation and movements).
He is a permanent member of ‘BosFineArt’ being a major gallery in Europe specialised in Geometric Abstraction., where he regularly exhibits its artworks.
In 2018, he became finalist...
SKEMA Business school
Since 1992 when he started his artistic career and until end of 2017, Gregory Dubus didn’t try to show his finalized artworks to the public during art events. Indeed, apart from having his first solo exhibition in Lille (France) in 2004 while this city was European capital of Culture, people have had only the opportunity to see his creative process while making artworks in ‘live’ in various public places (bars, restaurants, hotels, airports, train stations…) across the globe. So, we could say that he is a kind of global ‘Street Art’ artist!
It is only since 2018 that he decided to participate to group and solo art exhibitions, first in the Netherlands and now also in other countries. He has already received a few art awards and got his artworks visible in various art publications.
Since 2019, Gregory Dubus is an artist member of ‘Bos Fine Art’ which is a major Art gallery in The Hague (Netherlands) specialized in Geometric Abstraction. One of his artworks is also visible in the permanent exhibition of the ‘Geometric and MADI Art’ museum in Dallas (USA).
