Tarik Gulamo

From an early age I was always attracted to all forms of artistic manifestation. I enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and especially drawing. I tried to study architecture, but soon discovered that I wanted to do fine arts. Since always followed the news about artists and their work, I graduated in graphic design, but it was always a dream to work only with fine arts. So I decided to start my career as an artist, despite the immense difficulties that artists in Mozambique face. I am in love with the human figure, and inspired by its difficulties. I paint the working class, their faith, their hope, their love, their friendship, and I can see it on their faces. I am also inspired by family values, women and children.
