About Igor F Solís

My motivations are very varied. They are certainly linked to the realm of socio-cultural, literature, poetry, music, the nature that surrounds me and the light that exists in it, but I also believe that there are phenomena of the metaphysical, let's say fractures in the apparent reality that allows exits or alternatives for a different look that I do not believe is attached to own time or community history and that goes beyond our historical time, even if resembles. Perhaps as exercises that are, they respond to a latent concern that unfolds and evolves from experiences of all kinds. Painting and drawing are fields where freedom has possibilities of existing.
With my artwork I try to live in that creative freedom that cannot stop changing like life itself, and where systematic schemes work for certain purposes only, the feeling of the hidden, the singular and genuine that seems to remain in the after-taste, again comes from the unreal or dreamlike, where the powers of the sublime can embrace us without any responsibility.
