Laney was born a photographer.

From the Kodak Instamatic she got for her 10th birthday to the professional setup (that cost more than her mother’s home), she explores a world of adventure through her view finder. Her travels around the globe provide us with captivating scenics and compelling images of its people going about their daily lives.

She currently lives in London with her husband Derek and has evolved from working as a professional portrait and wedding photographer to fulfilling her great love of fine art photography.

Laney is a primarily self-taught photographer. She began apprenticing with a professional photographer over thirty-five years ago and moved on to form her own photo studio with her husband. She has taken multiple courses through online studies, PPA, and NILMDTS. She also studied photography at Norfolk College while her husband was stationed there. She is an active member of NILMDTS and is one of the primary digital editing artists for the infant shoots.

Laney has work exhibited in the Dhaka, Bangladesh and the London, England US Embassies.
