About three years ago, I decide to take art seriously. I realized I was okay at being okay. I’m not bad at cooking, I’m okay at feeding the stick insect and walking the dog, I’m okay at beating my kids at Monopoly (I’m pretty good at that actually), I’m an average vacummer and can cycle twenty miles no problem if it’s not too windy. So that’s great news.
But I want to be good. I want to try and master one thing before they batten down the hatches. If I can say that I’ll be a happy man.
But, in order to be good you have to try. This might seem an obvious statement but its message seems to have eluded me for the last 47 years. I need to try and the trying starts now, right here on Saatchi Art
A lot of my work so far has been portraits in various media. I paint people in different locations, pets, celebrities, cows, that sort of thing. My work is realistic but not too realistic. I like to work quickly and get the likeness of the sitter as rapidly as possible. I sell online and via word of mouth in my local area.
For Saatchi Art I have decided to branch out and paint landscapes and citiscapes in oil on canvas in order to appeal to a wider audience.
