I was born and raised in Kobe City, Japan.

I studied under Hiroshi Matsumoto, Sadamasa Motonaga, and Keiji Uematsu at Kobe University.
At the university, I majored in realistic oil painting, but after graduation, I gravitated toward abstract painting using acrylic paint and mixed media.

From Leonardo da Vinci, I learned that nature is the only teacher.
And from the Gutai Art Association, I learned the concept of letting the material itself paint.
