Jason Simpson

Jason takes a minimalist and conceptual approach in his practice at the same time as having roots embedded in traditional medias and methods. His work is process driven through the use of materials and a response to their environment in drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. He is currently developing a body of work exploring these processes, through intervention, performativity aspects of chance and the effects of environment and time.

He is a founder member and co-director of neo:artists, an artist led studios consisting of printmaking and sculpture facilities and exhibition and curating opportunities that support the development of artists and writers, and a co-organiser of the neo:artprize, neo:printprize and neo:graduates and residency programme.
