Jeanne Decasper

Jeanne is an Artist & Graphic Designer based in Zurich. Her figurative art explores the body language, facial expressions and diversity of women. Inspired by movements in everyday life and sports, her art captures the impact that different postures can have, reflects and questions the characteristics and stereotypes of femininity and leaves room for both strength and tenderness.

She studied graphic design and adapted her gained skills and understanding for visual design into her artwork. Jeanne's artistic signature is the vibrant use of colour and the graphic interplay of linear, round and angular forms. Her art reflects female empowerment and a multiracial presence where stereotypes of what a woman should be and look like are dissolved.

Growing up in a multicultural family, she was surrounded by vibrant music and colourful atmospheres, attributes that are rediscovered in her free way of colouring and presenting each woman. Her art allows her to explore her cultural identity.
