Photographer since the 80's and professional since 1998, Joao work's for several advertising agencies and institutional publications.
He work's to Fashion Heroines as a resident fashion photographer, founded JLpress.pt and was editor in cheef.
Joao is resident photographer at Colorida Art Gallery in Lisbon. Born in Porto, Portugal, lives in Cascais since 2006.
João works with Linux OS, Ubuntu Studio.
GIMP and Darktable are the daily tools of the photographer. João have two câmeras Fujifilm, X-T2 and X-H1. The first with a Fujinon XF 18-55 F2.8/F4.The second with old fashion vintage lens, Carl Zeiss Jena DDR 135mm F3.5 and Olympus Zuiko Auto-T 200mm F4.
João published a book in late 2019 about the old lisbon neighberhood "Alfama", called "Alfama 51 olhares". Also he published in a colective book about portuguese cities in pandemic lockdown.
In photography Joao learn by himself. He photograph since the 80's in black and white film and he has it's own lab at Home.
Since 1995 to 1998 He dedicates it's time to study (by himself) photography. At 1999 João starts his professional carreer as a photographer.
