Jocelyn Cassaniti

My artwork is both an expressive and a meditative process for me. My impulse is to reach a place of focus, and ranges from a light and joyful application of rich color, to methodical, to energetic. I intend to draw the viewer into the world of the art subject so that they can project their experience and story upon it. I was born and raised in Ithaca, New York.

Jocelyn Cassaniti Ascott has a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Plattsburgh, and began her art career as a printmaker, focusing primarily on collographs, and other monoprints. She continued printmaking at Pratt Fine Arts Center, and attended Seattle University of Law before working as an attorney. She currently works as an artist in Seattle.
