I have been painting now for ten years after finishing a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Capillano College.
Most of my subject matter is West Coast Landscapes. I mainly work in oils, as I love their texture and consistency.
Brush strokes are important for me. I mix paint on the palette, never on the canvas.
I want people to see my brush strokes because I want my process to be transparent.
I am not making a picture, merely a representation of a memory of a place I have been. Ten thousand brush strokes that make up a larger concept.
