John Myers studied Art History and French at New Battle Abbey College in Scotland and fine arts at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts of Paris from 1972 to 1977.
He went on to teach drawing and painting at the City of Paris Beaux Arts from 1986 to 2002. He has been guest lecturer at the British School of Paris. He exhibits widely in France and regularly exhibits in both the United Kingdom and Ireland..
In 2009 he was awarded the 'Grand Prix Maryse Anderbouhr' in Paris.
John Myers will be teaching an introduction to Oil Painting on-line course at Central St Martins UAL London beginning January 2015. Please see News Page.
