Juan Carlos Robelo was born in Managua, Nicaragua, November 10, 1962. Since his early age he was introduced to the passion of Art thru the influence of his parents. His parents were Art Collectors and had Relations with many famous Artist of which whom many frequented their home and share Art pieces, ideas and literature. As a young adult and interacting with the different artist, he found that very fascinating and his love for Art was born within his soul. In the 1970’s Nicaragua went thru a long civil war making this difficult time for him and his family. They had to relocate to San Jose, Costa Rica, where Juan Carlos was able to finish his Secondary (High School) studies. After that, he studied Graphic Design and Architecture.

In the 1980’s he started to work on his very first piece of Art. Throughout the 1980’s he began to dedicate himself to learn more and more about painting, the techniques and Experimenting with different ways of manipulating Oil on canvas.
