Kalina Kara

The formal core theme of the artist Kalina Kara includes compositional arrangement through chance and color. Two components through which she unlocks the inner life of her protagonists. The corporeality of the motif flattens as the intense coloration increases. Illusionist pictorial space is abandoned, modeling light and shadow are irrelevant. The motif is separated from the background which is mono-chromatized. This object isolated from the background then merges into a luminous symphony of the pictorial and planar organism.
