ABOUT
EXHIBITIONS

Ekaterina Nikitina (Katyusha) is a Russian artist and resident of the Swiss Gallery, whose paintings have been exhibited at national and international exhibitions.
The area of its implementation is painting. Ekaterina paints abstract figurative portraits with acrylics on traditional canvas.
Figurative canvases are her own experience, regardless of who is depicted on the canvas.
“My philosophy is aimed at understanding the world around us through color and the images I create. Spots of color, their combination with form, details and lines, the overall composition, dynamism and static create visual harmony,” says the artist.

Ekaterina always starts by covering the entire surface of the canvas with one color, depending on the subject, this gives the primary colors a commensurate subordination to each other.
And already from the prepared canvas, Catherine, like a sculptor, carves bright and attractive images of her subconscious. Each with its own history and sometimes tied to a specific theme - be it a fairy tale or a vintage age.
All of them have their own history, where harmony is intuitively hidden, which the artist strives for.
