About Kim Manfredi

I love to paint. These unexpected figures and their worlds are inspired by my interest in nature and humanity: it's pleasure and pain.
I use my work as a means of deep communication and as a way of reconciling relationships.
What does it mean to be alive?
Each snapshot in my body, each artwork I make, represents a human experience that is both simple and complex.
I use figuration, traditional craft and contemporary painting technique to bring clarity to the confusion inherent in life’s contradictions. The paintings help me understand what it means to be me.

Education

MFA, Hoffberger School of Painting, MICA Studied under Grace Hartigan
