Born: 1974 in Wroclaw, PolandI believe art offers an opportunity to visit places where words dont exist. I look for these places beyond words. Im interested in existence, especially human existence, as it relates to self exploration. I attempt to balance between the emotional and the intellectual; the rational and the irrational. I accept the role of being subject and object of my studies. Sometimes I reduce the work to a mere mark left to prove my own existence. Thoughts and ideas are fleeting. They are in constant movement, endlessly changing shape, volume and intensity. My works on film carry actual scientific data. They are a record of the existence of a specific being, a specific combination of amino acids. The patterns I draw on films and paper are automatic, natural and free; as thoughts tend to be. The spaces between the layers of film creates a three dimensional quality. The images on film stay motionless, but change with the viewers movement like thoughts in their endless dance. This series is presented in light boxes I have constructed to hang on the wall.My works on canvas contain photographic transfers of my sculptural objects in which I carry on the same search for the fleeting and the ethereal.
