I’ve been drawing since I was a kid but I never took art seriously until about two years ago. Two years ago I did a drawing that was more than my normal mediocre sketches and it inspired me to actually practice art. I started painting a few days later, and failed. Miserably. I kept trying and I was able to sell one of my first paintings on eBay for $7, taking a $5 loss on it. I was pretty proud of it though, it was the first piece of mine I ever sold, and I realized that I have to start somewhere. Since then I’ve continued to paint without any direction to go in, until I met a boutique shop owner in Cincinnati who invited me to show my work at her store for an event. She told me to create a collection as big as I can. So I did. I started working on my “Blue Series” in the beginning of January, 2018. The series is focused on making large, calming, abstract style, blue paintings. While I was working on that series, I regularly posted my updates on Instagram. As that was going on I was contacted by an Art director and recruiter for a large international art organization. He told me he wanted me to participate in a show during the summer time.
