Biography - Lehna Edwall Velander

Born in Stockholm , Sweden 1962

Lehna is working as an artist, stage and costume designer.

- It´s the colour that interests me the most and the tunes it plays. The feelings the colour awake in its audience.
- I want to communicate.

As well as working with my own artistic projects, such as contemporary arts and design,I work continuously as a stage and costume designer at for example The Royal Theatre in Stockholm and The Stockholm City Theatre .

I paint in oil, gouasche, ink and charcoal.
I sculpture and do work on my IPAD.

My sculptures has been cast in concrete and resently in marble in Carrera Italy.

I studied fine art at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm, Sweden 2003-2005.
I was educated at Stockholms Academy of Dramatic Arts, Stage design 1991-95.
I have a BA (hons.) degree in Fashion design from Harrow college of Art , London , UK, 1984-87.

2014 I had my latest solo exhibition at the Culturehuose of Järna in Sweden.
Lehna has had her own contemporary arts exhibitions at the Culturehouse in Ytterjärna, Gothenburg arts museum etc.
