His work shows us a technical virtuosity, attension to the similarity of the line's harmony and continuity of a contour similar to the one we can observe in the paintings of classical Renaissance artists. Grzegorz admits that his masters are Caravaggio, Rafael and Rembrandt. His paintings and graphics shows stories about his personal experiences.Every new day is an inspiration for him.He likes to work with models, he does not have to focus on the composition or colours then.He paints intuitively presenting the situation created in colours and gestures of the character shown in the painting.
Grzegorz Lerka was born in 1969.
As a little boy he showed interest in drawing and painting. At first it was more like fun but then it started to be a serious and sensible creation.
After some time this interest became a passion.
In 1994 Grzegorz decided to study at the Accademy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1999 he received a diploma in the studio of professor Stanisław Kluski and then a complementary diploma in the studio of professor Roman Nowotarski.
