Luke Packard is a practicing artist from Norfolk, England. The latest in a long line of painters, he studied briefly at Falmouth University in 2017.
Anxiety led to a change in practice, and saw Packard turn to meditation to calm emotional extremities. The paintings appear in their entirety in moments of inspiration, while passing through everyday life. The formula is written down and the finished works are completed at a later stage. This allows Packard to capture subtle emotional reactions to everyday life, untainted by ideas or the demands of the medium.
Older works have been exhibited in shows such as Epilogue (2016) and Whatever You Want (2017). The newer, more settled work is yet to be publicly exhibited.
