Quang Lam Luu

I was born and grew up in Bac Ninh where has the rich traditional culture of Vietnam and the famous intangible cultural heritage - Quan Ho singing. I started drawing lacquer paintings. I have recently experimented with oil painting for my artworks on the theme of folklore, village festival and Quan Ho singing. A new material brings my artworks a new, stronger and more modern spirit like tendency to change folklore of my village in the new age. Mixing the traditional pattern with modern languages of art, simplifying in detail and focusing on combining colors with expressionism is the way I choose to show my works of art.
