Process
I make abstract paintings and drawings and focus on paint and ink application, color and line. I employ a variety of media on a foundation of acrylic paint and monotype inks. Important aspects of my works on paper begin with a digital print out of a scanned black and white drawing. Then I add monotype inks along with thin washes of acrylic paint.
My paintings contain wonderful aspects of mixed media collage with cut up pieces of monotype prints along with various other collaged or painted source materials.

Vision
I have always been drawn to making art. As a child , I became very interested in the early computer drawing and digital painting programs. Then I got involved in digital photography and became very involved in abstract photography. When I returned to Wayne State University to complete my BFA degree in painting and printmaking I became more focused on natural media like brushes and real paint. So I now I am caught between the digital and natural word but as you can see with some fabulous results. I hope you enjoy the artwork as much as I love making it.
