Born in Montevideo, Uruguay. The portrait like a self portrait or seeking the inner essence. My painting is completely impregnated with what I feel and what I think. We shared loneliness: we are quite alone. We face alone the great and small events of our lives: my birth, my life, my death. The others are spectators of our lives. That loneliness becomes gigantic when we assert our freedom and try to be ourselves, consolidating as unique and unrepeatable beings. That is when we move from the masses thinking and we dare to think according to our own convictions, and not hide behind prevalents customs or fashions. Hence, in my work a single person is watching us and also let us look at her imposing her presence.A character who becomes gigantic in the cloth because she suffered from overcrowding, from hiding, from being a number in a group, from not being allow to be herself ... From there the size and color that hits the viewer to draw attention to her presence SAYING: HERE I AM, "ME", I AM ALIVE, I AM UNIQUE. When I paint, the energy that flows from my hands comes from the depths of my being, from my breath that oxygenated my blood, carrying that oxygen to my brain, givying me energy and ordering actions to my hands and fingers, that...

She lives and works in Montevideo, Uruguay. She graduated from the
Universidad de la República with the bachelor’s degree of Public Accountant,
Bachelor of Administration.
Between the years of 1986 and 1990 she studied art with Hugo Longa.
She also attended lessons with Estela Abal, in 1992, and with Fernando
López Lage, since 1993 to the present. She attended, in 2015, the
course “Discovering European Painting from 1400 to 1800” (Carlos
III University, Madrid).

She has exhibited her work individually: Zoom, el retrato del otro como
autorretrato in Discount Bank, head office (2008); Retratos, el paisaje
interior in Centro Cultural de España, Montevideo (2007); Retratos in
Pachamama (2002); Retratos in Centro Cultural La Spezia (2000);
and Fragmentos in Galería del Notariado (1997).
She has exhibited collectively: Seres in Espacio Cultural of the Mexican
Embassy, Montevideo (2016); Obras en Esplendor, Montevideo
(2015); Retratos contemporáneos in the Centro Municipal de Exposiciones
Subte, Montevideo (2015); Archivo, El Monitor Plástico, Subte,
Montevideo (2012); IX Bienal de Salto (2011); 54° Premio Nacional
de Artes Visuales, Carmelo Arden Quin, Montevideo (2010); Proyecto
Matriz, Cabildo of Montevideo (2009); Bordesur, Ministerio de Relaciones
Exteriores, in Montevideo, Museum of Contemporary Art, Rio
Grande do Sul (Brazil) and tour through Spain and Luxemburg; Nuevas
Vías de Acceso II, Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales, Montevideo
(2007); Galería del Paseo, Manantiales; Retratos in Molino de Pérez,
Montevideo (2006); and Absorciones in Punto de Encuentro (MEC),
Montevideo, among many other collective exhibitions in the interior
