Maria Polushkina

Maria Polushkina was born in Moscow. After graduating from School №686 (Class-Сentre of Sergey Kazarnovsky) she lived and studied in Germany. She graduated from the Faculty of Communications and Mass media at Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin). Since 2011 she lives in Moscow. Maria participated in 9 group exhibitions in Europe and Russia and also had 3 solo exhibitions in Russia and in Latvia. In 2016 she published the book "Between us" in co-authorship with the poet Anna Arkatova, which harmoniously combined poems and paintings.

In 2022 Maria's painting will fly to the Moon as part of collaboration between the Moon Gallery and the European Space Agency (ESA). In total, 100 artist works will be placed in a small platform 10 x 10 x 1 cm, that would be attached to the lunar rover (more about the project: ).
Works of the artist are in private collections in Germany, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Greece and Russia.
