Born in 1974 Baku, Azerbaijan
Based in New York City, US

Marina Ocampo is a contemporary artist known for her vibrant and evocative use of color, which serves as a conduit for exploring the intricate relationships between reality and the metaphysical. Her work delves into the harmony of the four essential elements—Fire, Earth, Air, and Water—revealing how they interconnect and coexist in our world.
Ocampo’s artistic vision is often inspired by the rich textures and hues found in nature, from the vibrant flora and marine life to the corrosive metals and weathered tree trunks adorned with moss. She draws inspiration from the organic patterns of tree bark and the old, cracked layers of paint found in urban landscapes, such as subways and city walls, infusing her pieces with a sense of history and place.
