Mark Lakin

Mark Lakin is a travel photographer, philanthropist, and Co-founder of Epic Road, a luxury travel agency that provides curious global nomads with immersive bespoke travel itineraries in Africa and the Arctic combining the planet's great adventures with thought-provoking experiences related to humanitarian and conservation issues. Lakin's passion for travel, photography, and philanthropy galvanized a journey around the world across six continents and several dozen countries that continues today. His inspirations include tribal culture, animal migration, extreme sports, ethnic markets, vibrant beaches, and local architecture. Mark is passionate about his non-profit work to educate Africa's youth and alleviate poverty. He serves as an active Board member of goods for good, a non-profit organization that supports the education of 65,000 orphans in Malawi. "ONE LIFE" is a retrospective of Lakin's most recent travels through Africa, Cuba, India and Iceland; a visual exploration of the incredibly diverse individual lives we live despite comprising a single human race. The exhibition images represent his journey to explore the distinct lifestyles, eclectic architecture, and varied landscapes of parallel civilizations to our modern 21st century. Above all, "ONE LIFE" captures the unique and indomitable spirit of the human race when faced with adversity set against the backdrop of mother nature's most stunning and dramatic landscapes.
