Melis Korkmaz

I was born in 1984 in Turkey. I completed my undergraduate education on engineering however, I always had an interest in visual communication and visual arts. After graduating, I carried out graphic design and advertising works in our family business for 10 years, as well as continued my own oil painting works at Filiz Pelit's workshop. At the same time, I attended the seminars on Understanding Art History and Contemporary Art at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Arts. During this period, I took part in various group exhibitions such as Alsancak Women Exhibition and GT Art Gallery Group Exhibition. Finally, I took part in the Izmir Women's Museum, the Orange Blossom International Art Colony's Contagious Goodness project, and in 2021, the 7th International Contemporary Art Fair - Art Ankara, with my collage works that I designed and transferred to canvas with oil painting technique.
