Minou Amirsoleimani

Minou Amirsoleimani, was born in Iran. She has lived and worked in Morlupo (Italy) since the 1980s.
After graduating from the university of fine Arts in Tehran (Iran), she then continued her studies at the Trevi Kola Sangan Istitute of Art in New Delhi and at the in Academy of Belle Arti in Rome, Italy
Minou after having her vast experience as a painter, her expertise as color coordinator and her experience in figurative art, in 1990 she started her artistic activities with recycle papers in geometric abstract.
Minou's art works, despite its lightness and its fragile appearance, demonstrate a solid strength and powerful weight of its own. The spirituality and individualism are the principal contents of her artistic demands in which she attempt to respond through the frame of her art works, installations and sculpture. She is inspired by spiritual doctrine of Sufism , the 18th century persian poet Rumi. Besides, she has developed a complex cultural experience from her own origin to other cultures that she has been exposed to through her life. Her main purpose has been creating a passage between East and West to communicate in a more balanced way.
