Mjellma Goranci Firzi

Mjellma Goranci, is a painter and a multimedia artist from Kosovo.

In 2006, she held her first exhibition named 'Apples, Flowers and Women' and continued with ten other solo exhibitions. She is very active and she took part in many exhibitions in the country and abroad.

Nowadays Mjellma is a Professor of Design, at the Faculty of Arts in the University of Pristina, and also works as a scenographer in public TV station (RTK). Her work as an artist in many different fields makes her feel completed and her life more beautiful

She started her studies in 1998 and graduated on the Graphic Design branch at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina, she also completed her postgraduate studies in multimedia at the same university.

Mjellma has been active in the art field for a long time. The fact that art is a beautiful illusion has always awakened her curiosity and she used it as art therapy in many areas.

Her studies were interrupted because of the war, but as soon as the war has finished she continued her studies and also at the same time she worked with women and children that were victims of the war.

During this experience Mjellma has used art as the only hope of overcoming the post-war traumas of the people she worked with. This experience has been very rewarding for her and she considers it as a special personal success during this period.

After she finished her studies, Mjellma has worked as a designer in several institutions and her work has been exposed in many exhibitions.
