Monika Julia Kubiak

Art is a kind of catharsis for the recipient and also for the creator, which is visible in my emotional-visual experiments. Transforming states of emotion into the language of art, and in particular the language of painting, becomes as for many creators, an expression of rebellion.
In my work I often use a very brisk brush strokes, accidental splashes of color, I create under the influence of a an impulse, causing chaos reminiscent of difficult to describe the thoughts and personal feelings.

In the period 2014-2017 I studied Artistic Education in the Field of Fine Arts in Kalisz at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan. In the meantime, as part of the student program ERASMUS + I was studying multimedia design at the Universidade de Beira Interior in the Portuguese city of Covilha, where I also explored the secrets of the azulejo style and I broadened the knowledge in the field of handicrafts. Then I obtained a bachelor's degree in 2017 from the first specialist painting studio under the supervision of professor Izabela Rudzka.
Since 2017 I continue my second degree specialization, additionally studying artistic fabric under the direction of doctor Agnieszka Godszling.
