Poornima Panjwani is an Indian contemporary artist whose practice draws from Indian mythology while engaging with modern contemplative themes. Working primarily with acrylics, her work explores ideas of light, stillness, and inner balance as shared human experiences rather than religious symbols.
Rooted in a deep sensitivity to material and symbolism, the artist’s compositions balance figurative presence with abstraction, allowing space for reflection and personal interpretation. Text, script, and sacred motifs appear as visual rhythm, echoing the layered nature of memory, belief, and cultural inheritance.
Over the years, her work has resonated with those drawn to art that is meditative, timeless, and materially refined. Each painting is created as a singular object, but yet carries same meaning along the series, and thought as having a complete and constant meaning beyond time.
